World Environment Day was observed on 5th June 2026 in Patel group of nursing Institution with great enthusiasm and active participation from students, faculty members, and staff. The day is celebrated globally to raise awareness about environmental protection and sustainable living. The 2026 observance focused strongly on climate action and environmental responsibility.
The programme commenced with a welcome address by the faculty coordinator and A seminar was conducted by faculty members who highlighted the importance of protecting the environment and the role of healthcare professionals in promoting a healthy and sustainable future ,conserve natural resources, and adopt eco-friendly practices.
Various activities such as tree plantation, quiz competition, campus cleaning, poster presentation, slogan writing, and awareness talks were organized. Students actively participated and shared ideas on reducing plastic use, conserving water, and maintaining a clean environment. These activities encouraged environmental awareness and community responsibility.
The Principal addressed the gathering and motivated students to become ambassadors of environmental protection in their communities. The programme concluded with a pledge to protect nature, reduce waste, and contribute towards a greener and healthier planet. The celebration was informative, inspiring, and successful in creating awareness about environmental sustainability among nursing students. Everyone pledged to take small but meaningful steps to safeguard the environment for future generations.
